Myrdal Mountain Cheese

Myrdal Fjellost is a cow's milk cheese that has matured for a minimum of 9 months. Quality milk and plenty of time in perfect conditions give the cheese a mature round taste. Served on slices or with a glass of red wine. It is also very suitable as an ingredient in hot dishes or on hamburgers due to its intense flavor and good melting properties.


The cheese received a gold medal in the World Cheese Championship 2023!

Italian spiced cheese

Italian spiced cheese is a cow's milk cheese with a perfect blend of Italian herbs such as tomato, basil, thyme and garlic.

Myrdal Ramsløkost

This gouda cheese with the ancient herb ramsløk has become a favorite with many of our customers. Chives are slightly milder than garlic but have a distinct taste that is liked by food lovers.

Pepper cheese

Pepper cheese is a semi-solid cow's milk cheese with a mixture of different pepper varieties; green, black and cayenne pepper. A tasty cheese with a real pepper flavor for those who like a spicy cheese.

Also available as Pepper ball with wax on the crust in 500g size.

Ibex

IBEX is a combination of our recipe for mountain cheese and goat cheese. IBEX is the Latin name for mountain goat and there is reason to call this cheese IBEX. IBEX is made from both cow's and goat's milk and is stored for 7 months. It has a creamy consistency like young cheese, but you can also taste some crystals. It gives an explosion of flavor that can be well combined with a strong wine/sides and cured meats.


IBEX was local food product of the year at Bergen's food festival in 2022 and received a gold medal in the World Cheese Championships in the same year.

Myrdal Edam Cheese

Myrdal Edam Ost is a semi-hard cow's milk cheese made according to a traditional Dutch recipe. The cheese is mild in taste but slightly saltier and more acidic than normal gold cheese. In Norway, Edam cheese is traditionally eaten during the Christmas season, but can be used just as well as everyday cheese on slices or biscuits. Edam cheese has red wax on the rind, which is well suited for storage and ripening. The weight is 500g.

Pepper ball

Myrdal Pepparkule contains a semi-solid cow meal with a mixture of different pepper varieties. A tasty cheese with a real pepper flavor for those who like spicy cheese. The crust is wax and the weight is 500g. Perfect as a gift.

Gouda

Myrdal Gouda Ost is perhaps the most famous Dutch cheese. A mild golden cheese that is great on slices. This cheese is not always available but a few times a year we make a batch of Gouda. Ask us if you are interested.
